Students at MGS pledge to plant 300 trees to contribute to achieving MDG no 7. The trees will be planted in an old greenfield site that has been redeveloped as school playing fields. Th event is part of an annual Celebration day.

Stand up will take place to read the pledge at the schools assembly. Complimented by announcement of 1000 trees and plants planted in ‘Take Action’.
Year 11 & 12 students were given some input into the reality of global poverty and its causes by Jeff Wild of the Victorian Council of Churches. They were then invited to stand up and read a pledge to work against poverty.
