The Year 5 class at St Clare’s Catholic School will be asking the parishioners during the Catholic Mass at St Clare’s Parish Centre, Narellan Vale, NSW, to Stand Up against poverty.
Student at Lurnea High School aim to stand up against poverty and spread awareness. Lurnea High School will join the global movement of people who refuse to stay seated or silent in the face of poverty and broken promises to end it!

In a world where we have so much wealth, with modern cities and plentiful resources…how can we still have so much poverty that people must live onless than $1 per day? Where entire families live in one small room in squalid informal housing settlements, far away from skyscrapers and city centers, where they don’t have the means to take care of themselves?
