High School students and faculty gathered in the high school center to stand up against poverty and in support of the millenium development goals. Hosted by the school club Global Concerns, a member read to the students/faculty the reason why we were standing and helped in directing the event. We did stand up for our youth program on Sunday night. We played a jeoprdy game we played at the UN and then we did a worship service and we all stood up
Commemorative event on Poverty and Indigenous issues with talk and performance.
The BARKA Foundation collaborates with The Colonial Theatre and 5 other local Berkshire-based non-profits to celebrate the African immigrant and African-American communities in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. This is in conjunction with a performance at the historic Colonial Theatre by the world renowned Song & Dance Ensemble of West Africa.
Donate any canned food in class for the next couple of weeks and we are going to donate it to Care ‘n’ Share in Colorado Springs for Thanksgiving.
