KASWESHA has linked 4th Oct. the Pre-World Habitat Day with the Global Poverty Eradication Day which this year will be celebrated form 17th to 19th October 2008.
As a resault we have planned to involve over hundred thousand participants including students and civil servants, the activities will take place at K C C Playing Ground next to KCC Slum Village adjacent to Kenya Cooperative Creameries Factory in Kariobangi South Location Embakasi Division Nairobi East District, various Schools and various Churches.
The first activities will include Football Match between forty and above years old Women (the KASWESHA MDG’S football team) and Nairobi East District Elected Councilors, Free Medical Camp for the Communities, Youth Drama, Cultural dances etc.
The second activities will include visiting all Schools in Nairobi East District between Monday 13th to Friday 17thOctober mobilizing the Teachers and Students in Trees planting, Poverty Poems etc.
The third activity will be will include the re-play Match between the Women (the KASWESHA MDG’S football team) and Nairobi East District Elected Councilors, Another Free Medical Camp for the Communities, Youth Drama, Cultural dances etc. As for first activities, this activities will again take place at the at K C C Playing Ground next to KCC Slum Village adjacent to Kenya Cooperative Creameries Factory in Kariobangi South Location Embakasi Division Nairobi.
To arrive at the site from City Center board vehicle No. 23 for Civil Servant Estate alight at Kariobangi South Chief’s Office Stage opposite Kariobangi South Primary School, the playing ground is less that 500meters from the School and just next to Nairobi/Nanyuki Railway Line.
