MATTHEW YOSAH’S PROPOSAL FOR THE MILLENNIUM CAMPAIGN STAND UP EVENT,2008.

OVERVIEW Being a Youth Action Ambassador (YAA) of Young People We Care (YPWC) and with the experience gained from organizing the Stand Up Event, 2007 at Tamale Senior High School in the Northern Region which helped the YPWC involve some 5020 young people and with the progress of my MDGs clubs formation Project in schools calls for a support proposal to effectively organize the 2008 Stand Up Event in the Bunkpurugu Yunyoo District of the Northern Region where three MDGs clubs are operational in schools. The MDGs clubs started in July this year and it is my pleasures to use the stand up event for 2008 to give it a face lift as contribution towards the achievement of the UNMDGs by 2015. Schools in participation are the Bumbuna primary where a tree planting project is going on. Again, Bunkpurugu Senior High School where an ICT project is proposed and lastly the Bunkpurugu Junior High School where MDGs Debating and essay competition programme is initiated.

ACTIVITY LINE UP 1. 16 October, 2008- Radio dialogue on Ridge FM. 2. 17 October, 2008-MDGs stand up and take action programme. E.g. Walk, Distribution of MDGs print materials, cleaning of the town. 3. 18 October, 2008.Serminar on the MDGs for all and debate competition on the topic; The Role of young people in millennium development. 4. 19 October 2008. General Assembly and declaration making and final compilation of people’s responses.
