END TO POVERTY AND INEQUALITY!!! Manchester students are gathering to Stand Up, lift their voices together and Take Action against Poverty and to show their support for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), a roadmap to halve extreme poverty by 2015. The event will be help at St Peter’s House, Precinct Centre, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9GH from 1.00pm to 03.00pm
A rally will take place on campus at 11:30am to explain STAND UP and the Millennium goals. We will have a student advocate talk about getting involved beyond this day, and then the students/faculty/staff will all stand. Following we will have letters to sign and send to the Presidential Candidates, and conclude with a service project at a local soup kitchen.
