In these difficult economic times, it is more important than ever for our leaders to hear from us that fighting global poverty is still a priority. Sign our petition to send ONE clear message to Barack Obama and John McCain that we expect them to keep their commitments to the world’s most vulnerable people.
Wrap up InterAction’s Progress Against Poverty Week 2008 events. Purpose of week has been to celebrate the advancements of the international development and humanitarian community in the fight to end global poverty.
ONE’s “Keep Commitments” petition is one of the main featured actions that Americans can take for SUTA. ONE Field Organizers and Members are organizing events such as dance-parties, prayer vigils, campus rallies and film screenings from Miami to Los Angeles to Alabama to Philadelphia.
Our congregation will gather for a Sukkot celebration where we will Stand Up against poverty.
