A launching of the YOUTurismo Programme of the Provincial Tourism Services Section (PGO-TSS), Compostela Valley Province, Philippines. YOUTurismo is a programme designed by the PGO-TSS to involve the youth and students in the tourism sector and mobilize the young generation towards effective environmental advocacy.

High school and elementary students will be mobilized and tackle issues of global concern that ripples down and affects local communities.
Soroptimist International of Eastwood City organized and conducted an awareness program for high school students of Roosevelt College, in the town of Rodriguez, Province of Rizal, Philippines. The event is a soft launch of Tara!Van: Youth to STOP Trafficking of Women and Girls, which will tour schools, a project of SI Eastwood City which will gear up in November 2008.
Soroptimist Members of the Southern Luzon District held a meeting on October 18, 2008 from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm at the LGU Cooperative Bldg in Catanauan, Lopez, Province of Quezon, Philippines. The meeting was organized to report on the projects of the 6 clubs under the district.
