We start with Prayer and Making people aware about the problem of poverty and its effect to our society at our office located at Sharada G/G Quarters P o Box 13647 Kano State Nigeria.
Civil society groups will be mobilised to help organise and coordinate these events in different locations in Kano Kano state. T-shits and other materials will be distributed widely.
This event is a collaboration of Bennie International School and Child Hope Trust Foundation to enlighten students of Bennie International School, based in Kano State, Nigeria on the Millennium Development Goals with emphasis to goal one, which is eradicating extreme poverty and hunger. Furthermore, explain to the students on ways they can contribute towards the fight against poverty.
Kano State is the largest city in Northern Nigeria with an approxiamtely population of about 14 million people. Islam is predomnately religion of the Hausa-Fulani ethnic populace. Kano State is characterized by over-crowding, high youth unemployment, over-burdened social and economic infrastructure, which results in occasional outbreaks of violent unrests.
