GLOWA wrote out a prayer request as a means of getting multitude of religious in Bamenda to be involved in the stand up event. This was distibuted via the internet and hard copies. Prayer intentions were given and christians actively took part in the event through the church services.
During mobilization and alliance building, GLOWA identified the Cameroon Credit Union League that has been doing a great job in the reduction of poverty in Cameroon and partnered with them in the stand up event through the celebration of their 40th anniversary in Bamenda. This celebration was then used as a means of mobolizing many people and involving them in the stand up event.
The event took place in five different locations within the city of Bamenda with the governor of the province ppresiding. Scools were mobilized and educated on the MDGs while emphasizing oçn individual role in the fights against poverty.
