A group of passionate Auburn University Students will be walking for Auburn to Montgomery, AL (60 miles) to raise awareness, educate people, and raise funds to help put a stop to Wold Hunger! The walk will start in Auburn, Friday, Oct. 17, and end on the steps of the State Capital (600 Dexter Ave.), Sunday, Oct. 19.

This event will be part of Poverty Days, a few days of action and awareness on the campus of the University of Lethbridge. The Stand Up event will take place in the University of Lethbridge Atrium.

Throughout Simcoe/Muskoka the YMCA will be asking people to stand up against Poverty and to Stand FOR peace & freedom for all people. At 12 noon on October 17th, each Membership centre will ask people to gather while the pledge is read aloud by a member of our Board or greater community.
