People from different groups and organisations weill be mobilised. this will target people living with HIV/AIDS, people with disabilities, indigenous people, wommen, youth and impoverished people in general. A live stand up in a private radio station, a mass conference and an anti-poverty concert have also been arranged

The event took place in all primary, secondary and institutions of higher learning under the supervision of the Ministry of education
Students and teachers will stand at general assembly and dedicate some time for stand up.
35 participants were gathered at the working place for the national council for higher education. The message for stand up 2008 was read both in English and Kinyarwanda languages. The leader of the event was reading and the participants were repeating the words of the message. After that participants crouched down and stood up joined their hands as a gesture to join in fighting againist poverty
