At our secondary school Loreto Balbriggan, the JPIC commitee organised this event to take a stand against poverty. It took place on Friday the 17th of October and during the morning announcements two members of the JPIC group invited everyone to stand up in their classrooms, making a STAND against poverty. Also at this time, a petition was sent into each class and the students were invited to sign it. We found this event to be very successful.
