Landmine victims, cleared land beneficiaries, local government representatives, landmine clearance operators, UN agencies, university students, civil society representatives, and the general public are invited to gather in Battambang, one of Cambodia’s most mine-affected provinces, to Stand Up Against Poverty on October 17th. They will all take action by signing the People’s Treaty to Ban Cluster Munitions to end the use of these indiscriminate weapons which cause unnacceptable harm to civilians.
