Second Life Stands Up Against Poverty
Residents of Second Life (www.secondlife.com), will be joining a STAND UP, a global movement to set an official Guinness World Record on Oct 15-16 for the greatest number of people to Stand Up Against Poverty.

To be part of the Guiness World Record, all you have to do is Stand Up for one minute between 10am GMT 15-October and 10am GMT 16-October and record you numbers on www.standagainstpoverty.org
With the help of Aimee Weber Studio ( www.AimeeWeber.com) Second Life residents will be able to obtain a virtual version of a white bands (the international symbol against poverty) which when activated will automatically record their support towards the for the Guinness World Record.
You can find one among over a hundred Stand Up kiosks at the following locations: Midnight City, Spaceport Alpha, Emerce Een Abbotts, Hawthorne

The final figure of people Standing Up is a massive total of 43,716,440 participants in at least 6,540 events around the globe spanning 127 countries. They broke the world record - set last year at 23.5 million - for the largest number of people to “Stand Up Against Poverty” in 24 hours.
